My students' research

In the Second Language Education course at Kobe University's Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, my students have investigated a range of topics related to language use in bilingual and second language contexts. If you are interested in conversation analysis or discourse analysis and you want study for a masters or doctorate while living in Japan, take a look at some of the work our students are doing here in the Content Course at Kobe University.

Most of my students have gone on to English-teaching positions at secondary schools (such as Kansai University Junior and Secondary School and Kobe College/神戸女学院の中学校・高校) and tertiary institutions (including Osaka University, Hiroshima International University, Fukui University, Doshisha University, Qatar University and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law).
