My students' research
In the Second Language Education course at Kobe University's Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, my students have investigated a range of topics related to language use in bilingual and second language contexts. If you are interested in conversation analysis or discourse analysis and you want study for a masters or doctorate while living in Japan, take a look at some of the work our students are doing here in the Contents in Second Language Education Course at Kobe University.
Most of my students have gone on to English-teaching positions at secondary schools (such as Kansai University Junior and Secondary School and Kobe College/神戸女学院の中学校・高校) and tertiary institutions (including Osaka University, Hiroshima International University, Fukui University, Doshisha University, Qatar University and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law).
